Helping a family obtain identification documents

I was recently informed about the situation of a family staying in Ampangan flats. The mother, G Ushabai , has a birth certificate but did not apply for an identity card. She has 6 children, the eldest is 13 years old and the youngest is 2 months old. All the children have no identification documents of any sort and as such, they have not been attending school.

I paid a visit to the family in their home to learn more about their situation to see how i can offer my help.

Firstly, i helped to apply for an identity card (IC) for the mother, and before doing so, we had to trace the whereabouts of her father who stays in Ipoh. I made necessary arrangements to bring him to JPN Seremban to sign relevant documents to enable the mother to obtain an IC. With the help of En.Faizal, the Director of JPN Negeri Sembilan, Ushabai will be able to collect her IC by 21st January.

I also helped the kids to register for MyKid and other relevant identification documents without having to pay any penalty for late registration. I enrolled the elder 3 kids to school for the 2014 schooling year, thanks to En.Faizal who wrote to the school to explain about their situation and i provided some financial to ease the family's burden.

I would like to convey my gratitude to En.Faizal, without whom all of this will not be possible.

Service to the people will continue

I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Dato S.Sothinathan on his appointment as the new State Liaison Chairman for MIC Negeri Sembilan.

It is my sincere hope that the new elected team for Negeri Sembilan will be able to make full use of the Wisma MIC NS to organize events and activities to benefit our community and to keep the initiative of having our MIC NS Service Centre open to public every weekend going.

I also promise to still be of service to my party and my people, and will always lend a helping hand whenever and wherever needed.

MIC CARES.

Candidate No. 84 - MIC Central Working Committee (CWC) Elections 2013

Dear All,

As most of you have already known, I will be contesting in the Malaysian Indian Congress (MIC) elections on 30th November 2013 for the post of Central Working Committee (CWC) member.

I have been a member of the CWC for three terms in which I have actively debated issues with regards to the Indian community, in particular, attempting to eradicate problems of Indians without birth certificate, identity card and citizenship. Over 10 thousand of such cases have been resolved during my tenure. My service centre in Wisma MIC Negeri Sembilan is open to the public every Sunday wherein I meet the public and try to resolve any issues and problems they are facing.

Below is my campaign brochure which contains details of work done during my appointment as a CWC member :-

Further details of my humble contributions to the community can be obtained from my Facebook page here or my browsing through my previous posts in this blog.

All the support and trust given to me have been instrumental in helping me to successfully serve the community and I hope to  be given the trust again by all the voters and be elected as a CWC member for another term as I believe I have the capability to do so much more for the benefit of the community.

My Official Statement with regards to reports of me contesting for the MIC VP post

I've been told that there are a few news reports published with regards to my intention to contest for the MIC VP post. I shall address the issue once and for all here, and I do hope no other false news reports will be published after this as it is not fair for the readers to be fed with false information.

I stress that the decision about me contesting for the MIC VP post is not and will never be up to me. This lies entirely in the hands of the party president. As a member of MIC, it is my duty to abide by the President’s decisions and as such, I will abide by whatever decision the president makes with regards to contesting for the MIC VP post.

Also, certain quarters have been claiming that I have met Dr. Subra to obtain blessings in order for me to contest for the MIC VP post. This is far from the truth as it has been quite some time since I met Dr. Subra.
In any event news reports are to be published about me in the future, please feel free to contact me anytime to confirm the actual facts as I’m always available to answer your queries.

Thank you.
