LABU 1 TAMIL SCHOOL

-On the 27.1.10, I visited Labu 1 Tamil school which part of the school block were destroyed by fire on the 23.12.2009

-Accordin to the headmaster Mr.Jacob, the school block which were destroyed consist of 4 classrooms.

-He also told me that few officers from the Jabatan Pendidikan Negeri Sembilan visited the school on 23.12.2009 had assured him that 2 long cabin will be sent as momentary classrooms for the childrens. Then on the 4.1.2010, Pengarah Pendidikan Negeri Sembilan had visited the school and promised to send the cabins and construct the burned blocks.

-Until now there is no sight of cabins in the school and the students were all cramped up in 4 classrooms of another block.

-I quickly told the Headmaster not to worry,then and there i ordered for 2 new cabins furnished with airconds,tables and chairs to be sent to the school by the 2.02.2010.

-I have also told this to YB Dato S.Subramaniam and he will be visiting this school on the 9.02.2010

-Once YB Dato has visited the school, MIC NS will urge YB Dato to bring this matter to the goverment to build a new block for the school swiftly.

TAXI Drivers Losing Income

-On the 28.1.10,I and YB Dato Mohan met with few taxi drivers from Port Dickson.

-They were telling me that they are having very less business nowdays due to New Bus service from the port.

-The taxi drivers were losing all thier passengers due to the bus service there.

-They taxi drivers told me that last time they were earning nearly rm100 a day but due to the bus service, they were only earning rm20 perday.

-They also told me that they cant find other job because the only job that they know is driving taxi.

-I assured them that, we will find a solution to this and will bring this matter to JABATAN PENGANGKUTAN JALAN (JPJ) and LEMBAGA PERLESENAN KENDERAAN PERDAGANGAN (LPKP).

"Computer JOY for Top Four 7A's Students from Kem Askar Tamil School Port Dickson"

-Held meeting with Kem Askar Tamil school PIBG.

-Discussed about the development of the school.

-Four students scored 7A's in 2009 UPSR from Kem Askar Tamil School PD.

- I personally gave New Computers each to all the four 7A's students.

"Brand new Computers for Top UPSR Students in Saga Estate Tamil School"

- Had wonderful meeting with PIBG of SAGA estate Tamil school.

- We discussed future plans for the school and on how to improve teaching methods.

-Two students scored 6A's for 2009 UPSR.

- I gave the two students brand new computers each.

Futhermore, i brought in Mr.Thiagarajan an engineer by profession to donate 10 new

computers to the school to start Computer Lab.

HAPPY PONGGAL 2010

Pongal is the only festival of Hindu that follows a solar calendar and is celebrated on the fourteenth of January every year. Thus, the harvest festival of Pongal symbolizes the veneration of the first fruit. However, those south Indians who have settled in the north usually celebrate only the second day. Coinciding with Makara Sankranti and Lohri of the north, it is also called Pongal Sankranti. HAPPY 2010 PONGGAL

" Continue to Study Dream Comes true"

-Ms.Kalaivani Subramaniam, a 2nd year Business Management student from University Utara Malaysia recently seeked help from me to continue her studies.

-Her father passed away recently and due to that she has some financial problems to continue her studies.

-Her father used to give her RM100 weekly for food,transport and etc. After the death of her father,she has no one else to offer the amount.

-Her mother is a housewife and no relatives are well enough to help her out.

- I contacted Mr.Paul (MIC chairman bukit chedang) and MR.Jeeva(MIC chairman Taman Guru), and they both agreed to join me to help the girl continue her studies.

- I have told the girl that we will help her monthly until she get her degree but in one condition that she has to show us her result every semester.

"MIC NS BACK TO SCHOOL PROGRAMME"

2002- As the MIC NS state Chairman and EXCO NS, I initiated and started the "MIC NS BACK TO SCHOOL PROGRAMME" in Jeram Padang. I gave school uniforms with stationaries and rm30 to nearly 100 poor indian school children there using my own funding.

2003- I did the same programme but this time for the whole of Negeri Sembilan. 1000 poor indian school children benefited from this programme.

2004- I met with the Managing Director of GIANT Malaysia SDN.BHD. Mr.John Coyle and he pledged that GIANT MALAYSIA will sponsor the SWAN school bags from 2004 onwards for the MIC NS BACK TO SCHOOL PROGRAMME.

2005-2007 : GIANT MALAYSIA SPONSORED 3000 SWAN SCHOOL BAGS with Stationaries and I sponsored shoes and rm30 cash to 3000 poor indian school children in Negeri Sembilan.

In 2009 once again we ( GIANT MALAYSIA and myself under MIC NS) gave 3000 SWAN SCHOOL BAGS with STATIONARIES. VIP FOR THE EVENT WAS DATO.G.PALANIVEL

"MIC NS BACK TO SCHOOL PROGRAMME"

2002- As the state MIC chairman and Exco NS, I initiated and started the "MIC NS back to school programme". I gave school uniforms with stationaries to 300 poor indian school childrens in Jeram Padang when i was the ADUN there with my own funding and rm30.00 for each 300 children.

2003- I did the same programme to the 1000 poor indian school children in the whole of negeri sembilan.

2004- I met the Managing Director of Giant Malaysia Sdn Bhd Mr.John Coyle and he pledged that GIANT will sponsor SWAN school bags from 2004 onwards.

2005-2007 : SWAN school bags from Giant Malaysia and my own funding for stationaries,school shoes and rm30 cash were given to 3000 poor indian school childrens in the whole of negeri sembilan.

In 2009 we ( GIANT MALAYSIA SDN.BHD. and Myself) under MIC NS gave 3000 SWAN school bags with stationaries to indian poor school childrens.
